My name is Jackie, and I am passionate about sharing my faith with others.

My designs are unique, one-of-a-kind designs inspired by God (as He gave me all my creative skills). I believe that everyone is creative, and it's a gift from God, whether that be via drawing, writing, or even if you're a lawyer. My creativity comes out as creating new and beautiful things.

With my designs, I want them to be a reminder of Scripture, to deepen your faith, and bring joy and solitude to your life.

Why?
Living in the heart of NYC, in the midst of all the hustle and bustle of the city, I found that I needed an outlet. An Oasis. Some place of solitude to turn to after a hectic day. And as far back as I can remember, I always had this restlessness, something that was always there. It wasn't until I read The Artist's Way a few years ago that I discovered what it was. I needed an outlet for creative energy! And thus the idea for EmpowerActs was born.

After creating these designs, whenever I looked at them, it always made me smile because it reminded me of Scripture and the beautiful meaning behind the text. I also love the creative process, and the subtle designs (can you find the door in this design here?) or play on words that I can put into the artwork. I want to share these designs to be a blessing to others.

Then, as I further reflected on my purpose for this venture, I realized that with all that I have been given, learned, and the energy and love that others have poured into me, I wanted to share the things that I have learned on my faith journey. When I first became a Christian as a teenager, I had so many questions that I was wrestling with. So even a simple question like 'What are devos?' is not something to be dismissed! Knowing God has fundamentally changed who I am, and my life would not be the same without Him, my community, and all the brothers and sisters that walk alongside me.

I want to empower others, especially those exploring their faith, with the knowledge for them to make their own decision about their faith. And if you are already a believer, I want to journey with you in the hopes that any of my resources or products would deepen your faith. ​

Behind the Name
EmpowerActs is inspired by a woman named Lydia. This is a woman who is referenced in an awesome book, the Book of Acts in the Bible. She is a woman and a merchant of purple cloth. Purple symbolizes elegance, royalty, and honor. She has an unshakeable faith, is secure in her own identity, and does not waver depending on what other people think of her or what she believes in (i.e. Jesus!). As I reflected on this character, I wanted to be more and more like her. The exact verse comes from Acts 16:14. That’s where the second half of the name EmpowerActs comes from.

As mentioned above, I want to share what I have learned, so that others I can empower others make their own informed choice about faith and Christianity. The best thing I can offer is a safe space for others to explore. If it weren’t for those first few people that offered the same for me, I would not have known the life that I have today, one filled with love, joy, peace, grace, compassion, and more.

Invite Him into your life. Experience His love for you. My hope is that you will find the peace, that 'living water', that only He can satisfy.​​
